Stick To Drifting will be hosting a CAR MEET for the Fast5 midnight release! We will be working with Colleyville Cinema and NOS to provide you guys with a righteous night.

Details:
This will be Stick To Drifting's first CAR MEET, so we are pumped to provide this to you guys! The event will consist of music, various shops from the area will be setup to show off some cool cars. Team 16niss and Nate Hamilton will be present on behalf of NOS Energy who has helped us greatly. NOS will have some great surprises for the public, so don't miss out! There will be a VIP room, 21+ which will have an awesome video game fold out provided by NOS and catering provided by MILLER! (open at 9:00)

The Venue is a DINNING THEATER, which means food will be available on site or during the movie. They will have a LIMITED bar (inside the building ONLY) available to provide a good time and beverages during the movie as well. There will be a random raffle before the movie ONLY to those watching the movie; so awesome door prizes are up at hand.

This will most def be an awesome event, don't miss out, and we ask that those attending please respect the venue so we can do this again in the future!

Creeper Texas Metal That Crushes!

Creeper comes alive with a new EP called "War Machine". I have personally watched this band mold itself into a true contender on the local scene. This is Dallas, Texas metal at its best with a ton of oldschool flair. If you like King Diamond, Metal Church, Exodus, Judas Priest or Anthrax you will dig these guys.

The EP starts out with "War Machine" a track that I could see in a game like Call of Duty or even Need For Speed, just balls out intense! The vocals are solid on this track with some high's that remind you of that oldschool sound that we all know and love. This track sets the pace and hold on mother fuckers it bites back!

Second track has a bit of double entendre, its called "She cant take it no more". This track reminds me of that old Judas Priest sound. The vocals are right there with Halfords in many aspects. I could see this track being played loud in a strip club :)

Thrid track is called "Timmy" and he is pissed off! This is a dark story of a boy who was teased and beat down who came back for revenge. This track has a King Diamond/Metal Church feel. I could see this being played at Thrillvania with my boys the crazy clowns!!

Fourth track is "Screamin Demon" and is on the video you see below. The drummer has to have four legs to play the start of this track! My only bitch about the EP was it is not very full on the low end. I would love to hear this low end killing my subs right now. This track is back to that "Creeper crush" sound its driving and heavy at the same time. There is a solid solo in the mix too! I could see this song crushing the pit somewhere near you soon, I know there is some swivel necks jammin this tune somewhere right now.

Yes the poison pen is back!! This year I am a little pissed off about a few things so grab your chair its gonna sting a little HAHA I vent once a year as I am normally known for POSITIVE but the FU list has been going strong now 6 years so why break tradition?

First up the trend (a very GAY trend) of grown up people (men & women over 30) trying to be hip and cool on the web with their phones (like they are in middle school). This would include "checking in" at every possible place you go to. Seriously no one but you gives a FK where you are every minute of the day/night. I personally have had to trim the FB friend list this year because people just check in like 10+ times a day and they arent 13 years old. Honestly I have seen some kids who do not post that sh!t up as much as some adults. Get a clue! Now posting up pics of funny stuff and spending time with folks im all for. We could all use something positive to look at every day.
part B. If you get taken off someones list on FB it is not the end of the world I mean do we all need 3000 people on our list? I trim the list to those I want to keep up with and those I talk to the most. If you need to add something add the stations FB page. as of late we live in a world of fragile feelings and resentments lol HELLO its the internet I didnt get on FB to be popular I was already popular before it HAHA

Next up our country has gone so lilly livered that people have gone from being upfront/direct to borderline cowardice with passive aggressive behavior. Do us all a favor and grow some balls! If you have a problem speak up it will only get better or worse at that point (stop being a pussy!). At least you will be respected for having a voice! My top resolution for 2011 is to put some distance between these people and myself. I would love to line them up all together and look them in the eyes, SAY IT! GD SAY IT!! what is on your fkn mind stop with the BS and SAY IT!! People talk and this subject comes up at times I will always speak my opinion on this topic as I cannot work in the shadows with these people its just cowardly. I may not have everything in life I want but I damn sure have integrity. Convict me for low brow humor and being off the cuff at times but you will never hear of me being two faced or passive aggressive. Life is too short to be taken for anything less than a man, stand up and be respected!

Promotions! Promotions! and promoting in general......
If you do not have money to put up billboards, tv ads, magazine ads, a NASCAR with your brand on it etc then you might have to do some grass roots promoting for your business, band, organization or yourself. this would include targeting the audience that would support your best interests. Like for an example going to another concert the same genre as your band to pass out flyers and other promotional stuff to maybe peak some peoples interest in what you are doing. This type of work does pay off and while it is at times a pain in the ass it does help in the long run. This would be something you would think everyone who is trying to do something would know. Sadly people overlook FREE opportunities to promote themselves DAILY! (Pay attention you FKS!) You cant ever be so high strung that you come at all of this with a "if you build it they will come" attitude. You will fail if you personally do not take promotions seriously with anything you do. THIS IS REMEDIAL SH!T!! I have seen kids promote lemonade stands better than some of the sh!t I see going on around me. I am done trying to lead the blind to the light lol You can ride the coat tails of others and hope that you make friends that you can call on for favors but that is a very half ass way of doing things. Trust me everyone you use for favors knows when you have your hand out..... Trust me on this!

Last but not least if you do not agree that is great if you are offended stop what you are doing and use the DEL button. Problem solved :) I can assure you all I should use the DEL button more often than I would like to admit.

A brief explanation!
This year we focused a major amount of time and effort on the Texas Auto Pro Mods We had 100's of people listening and a ton of call in interviews. The 3 people who had the most calls (besides Randy) was Scotty Clark, Chris "Wild Turkey" Dollar and the man we all love to hate "JB". I want to thank these men and the whole racing association for supporting us this race season. A personal thanks goes to Randy who at times has had to deal with some drama but did it with the coolness of the Fonz and the wisdom of a seasoned vet. This week is a hard week for me personally two major influences in my life both died on the same day, almost under the same circumstances. John Lennon Oct.09 1940 - Dec. 08 1980 and Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott Aug.20 1966 - Dec.08 2004

When I was young my mother played The Beatles and Lennon in our house daily when she heard the news he had been shot it was like a member of the family had been killed. Her generation grew up with Lennon/The Beatles. It is hard to understand why someone would want to kill Lennon or Dime. John was only 40 when he was killed and had many more years to give us all. I think I am almost 40 and I wonder have I lived enough of my life on this planet myself?

This week we pay respects to two great men who were ripped from our lives way before their time. Both were killed by crazy people who had "voices" in their heads.
Both were killed because they lived their lives just like anyone else does, not behind gates or security. They did not see the world as a threat and nor should they have had to. Fame should not come with the price of death! You can blame many things but the bottom line is this: These two men lived just like you or I and the wrong people had access to them. I sympathize with their families as this week rolls by I cannot imagine how hard it is to go thru this every year and with it being so close to Christmas. R.I.P. John & Darrell

The highly anticipated debut of the Texas Automatic Outlaws finally became a reality as the TAO entertained a packed Navasota Raceway in Navasota, Texas. 9 eager teams showed up to try their luck at the track famously known as “The Nasty” . It certainly lived up to its nickname last night!!!!

1. Chuck Poindexter 4.85 @ 143.86

2. Rodney Delker 5.16 @ 141.17

3. Corey Wheat 5.19 @ 118.38

4. Gaylen Bolling 5.21 @ 138.50

5. Jerry Cain 5.31 @ 118.62

6. Randy Rencher 5.39 @ 113.56

7. Matt Seigal 5.73 @ 105.26

8. Wesley Woods(Cowboy) 5.98 @ 102.50

9. Gaylon Graddick No Time

Gaylon Graddick had carburator issues and was unable to compete.

First Round:

Chuck Poindexter 4.80 @ 146.12

Jerry Cain 5.90 @ 92.15

Chuck peeled off another 4.80 while Jerry had traction issues and was in and out of the throttle all night.

Rodney Delker 4.86 @ 146.61

Randy Rencher 5.05 @ 121.37

Rodney blasted off a 4.86 while Randy was in and out of the throttle.

Corey Wheat 5.17 @ 133.18

Matt Seigal 8.03 @ 57.42

Cory and Matt were both in an out of the throttle with Corey winning the pedalfest.

Gaylen Bolling 5.17 @ 139.39

Cowboy 11.16 @ 39.29

Cowboy had traction issues all night while local Gaylen Bolling had few issues running 5 teens all night.

Semi Final:

Chuck Poindexter 4.77 @ 148.50

Corey Wheat 5.53 @ 115.77

Chuck seem to have a handle on "The Nasty" running solid 4 second passes while Corey had traction issues and had to lift.

Gaylen Bolling 5.15 @ 139.79

Rodney Delker 5.13 @ 144.30

This was a very close race and was won on the tree as Gaylen just inched Rodney for the win. Rodney had a burnt piston and was still able to make a race out of it.

Final Round:

Gaylen Bolling No time broke on track

Chuck Poindexter 5.63 @ 87.29 Crossed center line.

Chuck was not as fortunate this time as "The Nasty" lived up to its name. Chuck got crossed up and crossed the center line handing the victory to Gaylen who "stood it on the bumper" and broke shortly after the 60ft. Congratulations to Gaylen and crew on your win and to Chuck and crew on your runner up.

Chuck Poindexter is the current record holder for both MPH and ET with a 4.77@ 148.5MPH. Congrats Chuck.

Thats right my lazy ass finally got it done! The interview with Jim Fritts from www.frittscarshows.com will also be on there. I am testing out going fully into a "On Demand" type of format with the station. So we will see how it goes......

In other news I took off this summer (almost 90 days total) to spend time with family and work. I am now booking events again and giving bids for weddings so if you need a DJ for your next event let me know!!

I have also been working on the black bomb and will be posting pics of it soon. Next post should be some more pics and the actual link for the new show.
